Student Exchange Program In Xinjiang Polytechnic College, China
|

Currently, two students, Tiah Chai Ching and Soh Wei Ing from School of Bioprocess Engineering are undergoing the Student Exchange Programme in Xinjiang Polytechnic College, China. Let's read about their experience during this exciting programme.
"During this period, we have attended some courses provided by this college such as Culture of Xinjiang and Tourism. Everything was taught in Mandarin. We are allowed to take more courses. It depends on our initiative.
At the same time, we were involved in many activities which encourage us to know Xinjiang better. We went to Museum of Xinjiang to discover the history of Xinjiang. We were guided by the Tourism Course students. During our free time, we participated in volunteer program to have the feel of students' life. We learned a lot of things not limited in the class but outside of the class. It is a good chance to see the world from different view.
The lecturers here are very helpful. They want the best for us. Thus, they always think of us. They took us to the 'Silk Road International Ski Resort' last week before winter is over. The same goes to the students. They are willing to help in every field. They are very friendly. Below are some pictures taken during our activities"

This was taken during our first day in Urumuqi, Xinjiang. It was behind our hostel.
At Mount Devil, situated near the school. This was during the volunteer program (clean the environment) which was organised by the first year foreign language students.

Miao Miao, Guang Hui and Wong Jie were our tour guides. They are Tourism Course students. They explained to us everything about Xinjiang in detail during the trip.
